The main characters are set up as is their desire to explore the country they are in and see something a little more authentic.

Will they find what they are looking for? What is it anyway?

They are attacked by the locals and one of the guys in the group is suddenly shot. They are chased up the pyramid.

7. B STORY (30)

Jeff doesn't like the other dude.

8. FUN AND GAMES (30-55)

The brother is dead, thy go down the strange well, the German guy breaks his back. The locals are not going away.

9. MIDPOINT (55)

The German guy is brought up from the well. There is new hope in rescue because of their ticket.

10. BAD GUYS CLOSE IN (55-75)

The weed is everywhere. There is no phone. They have to cut the guy's legs off.

11. ALL IS LOST (75)

There is no way out. Matisse is dead. The flowers are shrieking.

12. DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL (75-85)

Jeff sees that they have no other option, they can't keep cutting the weed out.

13. BREAK INTO THREE (85)

"I'm going tonight" Stacy is killed.

14. FINALE (85-110)

Jeff gives his life to give Amy a chance. Amy runs.

15. FINAL IMAGE (110)

Two Greek men arrive at the ruins.

VERDICT

Opening and final image don't really seem to match other than that they are both images of victims of the weed who we haven't got to know during the film.

There is no real B Story to speak of.

It otherwise sticks to the beats pretty closely. There is false victory at the mid-point when they think there may be hope but this is swiftly turned around.
