So Who the Hell are they?

The Infected are what is left of the
population of Great Britain after an
outbreak of a particularly virulent
disease which is passed on by the smallest drop of blood and drives the sufferer into a state of pure murderous rage within seconds of infection.

That’s not a knife…

The infected aren't really compus mentus enough to work out how to use tools, in fact they aren't even compus mentus enough to work out how to use food (which fortunately makes their life expectancy pretty low). In truth however The Infected don't need weapons in their characteristic state of utterly insane psychosis, they just use their hands and teeth.

Why, for the love of God, Why??!!?

The Rage virus they are infected with pretty much eliminates all trace of why from the minds of the Infected so it's a bit of a moot point. They're just really, really, really angry. Not an uncommon state for most Londoners actually...

So what’s the damage?

Well, the entire population has been either killed, infected or evacuated (with a notable few exceptions of course) so I'd say the damge is fairly high on this one actually.

It’s a million to one chance but it might just work…

Though The Infected are in essence simply diseased human beings, their rage gives them super human strength which combined with the fact that a single drop of their blood is enough to tun you into one of them make going head to head with them a rather unwise venture. It's a much better idea to hole up somewhere and wait for the stupid bastards to die of starvation. Though be wary of shacking up with any units of horny soldiers led by big-eared time lords you might encounter.

Words of wisdom:

Not so many words from these guys. They tend to be more comfortable with the odd strangled scream between bouts of vomitting blood onto anybody who crosses their path.
