Though it still seems as though the chances of this remake of one of the outright classics of 1950's sci-fi horror -The Creature From the Black Lagoon, ever emerging are in question the good folks over at Fangoria have posted some tasty pics of the concept artwork for the new updated creature.

Whilst we at Nefarious Films are not massively into the whole remake of classic horror bandwagon, we would love to see a modern re-telling of this tale.

The original was iconic and so imagination-gripping it would be great to see a whole new generation fall in love with the love-struck gill-man.

For what it’s worth we love the version from the 1980’s movie The Monster Squad best.
