Every so often you hear about a project which just makes you want to shout “Hell Yeah!” In some sort of hideous Will Smith-esque fashion or maybe, “Now that’s what I’m talking ‘bout!” delivered with a triumphant continual head nod and smug smile.

Horrific Big Willie impersonations aside, this is one of those projects.

Genre hero, independent film legend and all round fantastic guy Robert Rodriguez is to make a Predator sequel titled “Predators”. The title is clearly a cheeky reference to the second film in the Alien franchise and rumours suggest that there could also be plot similiarities with a team of human commandos taking on multiple Predators on their homeground.

Details are still a little sketchy but it looks as though this could be with us in July 2010 though this would mean an exceptionally busy year for Rodriguez as he is still slated for bringing two other high profile projects to the silver screen, Machete and Nervewracker. If anybody can do it however the bandanna toting wannabe chef is the one we’d put our money on.
