The original Outpost was a smart little low-budget British effort directed by Steve Barker which despite going fairly unnoticed was a well-made and pretty effective chiller in a Dog Soldiers meets Event Horizon sort of vein.

Its tale of Nazi ghosts leftover from the second world war fighting a squad of modern soldiers of fortune looks set to continue next year in Outpost 2: Black Sun.

Little is known about plot details so far but promotional artwork for it has been revealed on the Black Camel Productions website.

Directed and produced by the same team as the original the new instalment seems set to bring its ghoulish antagonists out of their rusty old bunker and into the larger world. Will this be a good idea though?
