A trailer has emerged online for the much anticipated The Descent 2. It seems that the sequel will be following directly on from the original’s American theatrical ending in which Sarah escapes the caves (in the British version and DVD version she hallucinates escaping but never does in reality). It also looks as though Juno will be re-appearing in this one – in all probability not too happy with Sarah who was stabbing her in the leg and leaving her to be eaten alive by a nest of hideous cave crawlers last time she saw her.

Neil Marshall has not returned for directing duties this time around, leaving that honour to first time director Jon Harris, though he has overseen the project as an executive producer. There are also many of the original team involved including Paul Hyett – the man responsible for creating the impressively terrifying crawler creatures.

Also appearing is the wonderful Axelle Carolyn who recently featured in Nefarious Films’ own short film production – Bubbling Under.
