Director/Writer: Roger Avary
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Silent Hill sequel is now definitely in the works.
Writing and producing team, Roger Avary and Samuel Hadida have been slated to do their thing with the sequel to 2006’s original.
Silent Hill was, despite being a video game adaptation, a creepy and innovative film which drew from its source material with great effect to create some truly arresting visuals. The weird zombie nurses with their porn star cleavage and zombie movie faces, the shuffling, bile-spitting freaks out in the street and of course the fan-favourite, Pyramid Head were all represented in a stylish and accurate manner. There’s no word on whether any of these will appear in the sequel yet but it’s a good bet that we’ll be seeing them again when we return to that weird little town. It won’t be for a while yet however as Davis Films need to get their other video game adaptation, Resident Evil 4 out of the way first.
We’re big fans of both the Konami video game and the original film so we’ll bring you all the news on Silent Hill 2 as we get it.
